I’m a multi-genre keyboardist and vocalist. My love for popular music can be traced to my childhood, listening to AM/FM rock and soul radio stations and borrowing albums from the public library. I started self-learning music at about 13 years old on a little Magnus electric organ.
My overall style is heavily influenced by years in church choirs participating as a baritone/tenor singer, organist/pianist, and director. Adding to this influence are some of my faves such as Joe Sample, Bobby Lyle, Ray Charles, and many others. Hopefully over time you will enjoy a variety of material from me, from jazz standards to Motown/soul to blues to gospel/worship to even country.
Locally I perform solo, as a duo with musical partners, and as a sideman in full bands. I’m also as keyboard and vocal instructor/mentor to dozens of students of all ages. In between all that, I’m writing and self-producing a new smooth jazz project, “Tales From The Music Room.”
